Jicama with Lime Juice

Here  is a great crunchy snack!  1/2 cup is only 7 grams of carbohydrates and no fat, so guilt free too.  Everyone enjoy this at the workshop and it is so easy to prepare.  When picking a jicama do not choose ones with a lot of dimple or mold on the outside.  These jicamas are starting to dry out and will lose their sweetness.



Jicama with Lime Juice


4 cups peeled jicama strips
¼ cup lime juice
Powdered red chile to taste
Salt to taste


Sprinkle the jicama with the lime juice, chile and salt.  Serves 4.

Nutrition Fats per 1 cup serving: calories 60; fat 0; carbohydrate 13 gm; and protein 1 gm.
