Put Pain in Its Place – How to Get
Osteoarthritis Under Control, is a consumer education program that will be held
on February 25, 2015 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the Quay County Extension Office
located in the Terry Turner Office at 216 E Center St. The program will be presented by Brenda
Bishop, Extension Home Economist. The
goals of the program are to arm older adults with knowledge about
osteoarthritis pain, and to prepare them with strategies to relieve it. Arthritis is the nation’s leading cause of
disability. The Arthritis Foundation aims
to reduce the number of people suffering from arthritis-related physical
activity by 20 percent by 2030. The
Arthritis Foundation and National Council on Aging joined together to develop
this program and provided the materials.
During the program we will discuss diagnosis, management and treatment
options for Osteoarthritis. This
workshop is free. For more information
