Put Pain in Its Place How to Get Osteoarthritis Pain Under Control

Put Pain in Its Place – How to Get Osteoarthritis Under Control, is a consumer education program that will be held on February 25, 2015 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the Quay County Extension Office located in the Terry Turner Office at 216 E Center St.  The program will be presented by Brenda Bishop, Extension Home Economist.  The goals of the program are to arm older adults with knowledge about osteoarthritis pain, and to prepare them with strategies to relieve it.  Arthritis is the nation’s leading cause of disability.  The Arthritis Foundation aims to reduce the number of people suffering from arthritis-related physical activity by 20 percent by 2030.  The Arthritis Foundation and National Council on Aging joined together to develop this program and provided the materials.  During the program we will discuss diagnosis, management and treatment options for Osteoarthritis.   This workshop is free.  For more information or if you are in need of an auxiliary service to participate in this program, please call Bev by February 20th at 461-0562.  The Quay County Extension Office is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer and educator.
